Alma Wallace Lesch Memorial Award
selected from the QUILT entries in the TEXTILE Department, this year's selection honors the experimental and "out of the box" design that Alma Lesch exemplified through her innovative stitchery and textile experimentation that is her legacy (preserved in the University of Lousiville archives)

a strong group of quality pastel drawings geets the viewer's eye at the 2007 Kentucky State Fair in Louisville... the eleven day run is coinciding with a record breaking heatwave but the one-million+ square feet of airconditioned enclosed convention center "cool" makes the parking lot experience worth the effort... show ends August 26...
